Why you desire

What would you desire if everything you now desire were already yours?

If you possessed every object you could ever imagine possessing, what would drive you forward?

If all your goals were reached and even exceeded, what would get you going each morning? If every problem in your life were solved, where would you direct your energy?

Certainly it is necessary to pay attention to all the outer concerns. But if that's all you ever think about, you can become hopelessly frustrated and disillusioned.

Every now and then, dig deeper. Remind yourself why you desire what you desire.

Following your outer desires can help you to express your purpose, yet those desires are not your purpose itself. And so even if you fail to achieve a particular goal, the pure, authentic purpose behind the goal is still intact.

Instead of being frustrated when you experience disappointments in your outer world, you can choose to be inspired and creative. For you still have your purpose, and you have the opportunity for finding an exciting new way to express it.

About the Balanced Physician Program

Breakthrough results rarely come when a homogenous group of people get together and validate their own thinking. Our work with physicians and physician leaders requires a different kind of conversation where diverse voices intersect. We believe breakthrough results happen at the intersection.

The Balanced Physician programs were developed as a new kind of partnership designed to deliver powerful solutions to healthcare providers at the intersection of coaching, consulting, and learning. They are exceptional tools and methodologies to:

  • Improve performance
  • Strengthen communication and teamwork
  • Experience work-life balance
  • Regain a sense of control in life again
  • Make meaningful contributions to patients, staff members, administrators and families

The Balanced Physician program evolved over the years to fill the need for a proactive personal and practice development support for healthcare providers and their teams. We challenge them to become more effective in their career; we encourage them to experience more work-life balance. We support them to be their personal best. It's that simple.

About Coaching

Unlike psychology or psychiatry, coaching roots in a wellness/full-potential approach. It doesn’t lead to a diagnosis, nor do coaching services need to be reported on license or hospital applications. It is about supporting physicians to play a bigger game in their practice and in their life with quick and successful results and fewer setbacks.

Meet Iris GrimmIris Grimm

Iris, a professional executive coach who received her formal training and certification from Coach Inc. (formerly called CoachU) and Coachville, has been working with physicians and healthcare leaders since 2003.

As the creator of the Balanced Physician programs, Iris has coached hundreds of physicians and physician leaders in building strong personal and interpersonal skills that consistently improve their performance, well-being and behavior and contain costs in a variety of healthcare organizations.

Iris models and teaches self-management and interpersonal qualities of leadership and performance in practical ways that physicians and executives connect with personally, and she coaches them to refine these skills through ongoing support and follow-up.

Iris is a native of (East) Germany who has been living in Atlanta ( GA) since 1995. Raised in a family of doctors, she understands the difficulties of balancing a personal life while maintaining the dedication and hard work needed to succeed in a medical career.

After the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, Iris relocated to West Germany. She graduated with a B.S. degree in business management and communication from the University of Applied Science in Mainz Germany in 1994.

In her spare time you will find Iris hiking in the North Georgia mountains or training and competing in Schutzhund with her German Shepherd Cito.
