Tear down Walls: Removing the Barriers to effective Communication

Lack of communication will wear you out. Without communication, life is tiring. If we are not skilled in effective communication, we will find ourselves exhausted by conflict and running from issues.

We are social beings who depend upon others, yet effective communication is a skill that we are never formally taught. The hands-on approach of this fun and engaging workshop will polish and strengthen this critical life skill.

Participants will:

  • Understand the importance and purpose of effective communication
  • Participate in the Personal Communication Style Inventory process to increase their awareness of their own communication style
  • Develop a personal strategy for improved communication skills
  • Get to know the characteristic of effective communication
  • Practice how to lead goal oriented, focused conversations
  • Learn how to provide constructive feedback

This workshop is available as a one-hour, two-hour or half-day format, depending upon time availability, level of interest of participating physicians, spouses, support staff, and budget considerations.
